Your mental health deserves deeper care than a quick prescription

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT

Conventional approaches to mental health may not be right for you

Conventional Psychiatry

✔️ Can improve symptoms with medication, sometimes without changing anything else in your life

Can take anywhere from 3 months to over a year to find the right medication and dosage

Often does not address root causes; instead just alleviates symptoms, so more symptoms and side effects may creep up over time

Does not take into account lifestyle, nutrition, or physical imbalances contributing to mental health

Does not address past trauma or nervous system dysregulation

Limited time with your practitioner, making you feel like “a number”

Talk Therapy

✔️ Can help you feel less alone in your symptoms

✔️ Can help you work through past trauma or current relational or thought-based struggles contributing to your mental health

Does not take into account lifestyle, nutrition, or physical imbalances contributing to mental health

May not work for you because it’s hard to just “think or talk your way out of your problems”

May not address nervous system dysregulation

May “never end,” as you keep talking about your issues but nothing ever gets easier

WELCOME

You’ve found an alternative path to better mental health

Our whole-body approach

✔️ Focuses on root-cause healing, not just suppressing symptoms, so your symptoms go away for good

✔️ Considers causes from the whole body, not just your thoughts or brain chemistry, so you don’t fight against your body to heal

✔️ Improves complete health — not only mental health but also physical health and energy levels — so you feel better overall

✔️ Extended time spent with you to understand your history (no rushing), so we can create a custom wellness plan that works fast

✔️ Medication is not forced on you if you don’t want it; in fact, we can plan to reduce the number or dosage of current medications

✔️ Helps your body feel safe to support faster, deeper, more permanent mental health improvements

Note: Our approach is not ideal for someone who seeks a “magic pill” solution or is not open and motivated to make sustainable lifestyle and nutrition changes.

Jessica Kettell, PMHNP-BC

Meet Our Founder | Jessica Kettell, PMHNP-BC

Hi, I’m Jessica—board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Grounded Psychiatry. I have a deep passion for helping others on their journey to mental wellness because I’ve been there myself.

For much of my life, safety and peace felt just out of reach. Years of chronic stress and unresolved trauma kept my nervous system locked in fight-or-flight mode. I didn’t fully understand what was happening until March 2020, when I had my first panic attack. At the time, I was working long hours in the ICU, exhausted, burned out, and feeling completely out of control. The panic attacks kept coming.

Even though I was a year away from completing my psychiatry program, I still didn’t know how to stop my symptoms without medication. So, I did what most people do—I reached out to a psychiatrist. But the next available appointment was three months away, and I knew I couldn’t wait that long. That moment changed everything.

I went all in on finding another way. I studied everything I could about neuroscience, functional medicine, and holistic psychiatry—and by the time my psychiatry appointment finally arrived, I didn’t need it anymore. My anxiety was gone. My panic attacks had stopped. And I had done it without medication.

That was the turning point.

Today, I help my clients achieve the same freedom from anxiety, depression, and burnout that I found. But I don’t believe in quick fixes or surface-level care. At Grounded Psychiatry, we take a deep-dive, root-cause approach—using advanced lab testing, nervous system regulation, and science-backed lifestyle interventions to restore mental and emotional balance.

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs who:

✔ Want more than a prescription—they want real answers.

✔ Are exhausted from anxiety, burnout, or mood swings and need a real plan.

✔ Value a science-backed, integrative approach and are ready to invest in lasting change.

I dedicate hours every week to studying the latest breakthroughs in functional psychiatry, neuroscience, and mental health treatments—so you don’t have to. If you’re ready for a smarter, data-driven approach to healing, I invite you to apply for a consultation.

Meet Rachel Robilio, PMHNP-BC

I’m thrilled to introduce Rachel Robilio, the newest member of our team. Rachel trained under me for an entire year, and in that time, she has proven to be an incredibly talented and compassionate nurse practitioner.

Her dedication to holistic care and her deep understanding of the mind-body connection make her an invaluable asset to our practice. She shares my vision of providing personalized, whole-person care, and I’m excited for you to experience the exceptional support and expertise she brings.

Rachel’s journey in healthcare began nearly eight years ago as a critical care nurse, where she witnessed firsthand how deeply intertwined emotional and physical healing are. Through her experiences, she developed a profound passion for mental health care, recognizing that true wellness requires addressing the whole person—not just symptoms.

Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Rachel moved to Atlanta, GA, in 2021 with a heart for serving others. She earned her Master’s degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from the University of South Alabama in 2024, building upon her strong foundation of empathy, resilience, and clinical expertise.

Rachel specializes in helping clients of all ages navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and life transitions. She understands that life can be overwhelming and, at times, isolating—but you don’t have to face it alone. Having personally experienced difficult life transitions, including divorce and the loss of a loved one, Rachel is deeply committed to guiding others toward healing, peace, and emotional resilience.

While she recognizes the important role that medication can play, Rachel believes that true healing requires a multi-dimensional approach tailored to each person’s unique needs. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore what healing looks like for you.

Rachel is here to partner with you on your mental health journey—helping you build resilience, find balance, and thrive in every area of your life.
